“Hi, this is Natalie. How can I help you?” I asked, unable to give the recommended opening for fear it would be held against me in my next life. “Hi Natalie,” the caller said. “I want to see what’s going on in my relationship in general.” I asked “Cindy” to think about her boyfriend while I shuffled the cards and did the spread. Things looked bleak—among her cards were the devil and death, and the final outcome card was the 10 of swords, described in my deck as the card of “ruin.” I wondered how to break this to Cindy, particularly since I hadn’t a clue as to what was really going on in her relationship. I blithered for a few minutes about her concerns that she was investing a lot in a relationship she was worried was going to eventually hurt her. Then Cindy started talking. She said her relationship was very good, and they’ve been talking about marriage for two years, but according to her boyfriend, the time was never right. It soon became clear that she didn’t care what the cards said; she just wanted someone to talk to.
In March 1902 in Berlin, police officers interrupted a séance of the German apport medium Frau Anna Rothe. Her hands were grabbed and she was wrestled to the ground. A female police assistant physically examined Rothe and discovered 157 flowers as well as oranges and lemons hidden in her petticoat. She was arrested and charged with fraud.[102] Another apport medium Hilda Lewis known as the "flower medium" confessed to fraud.[103]
Just keep in mind that an inaccurate reading can happen from time to time, even for the best psychics.  If for some reason your advisor is having a bad day or you’re just not connecting in the way you want, politely end the session and contact customer service and ask for a credit to your account.  Most networks will offer to refund your account if you’re not happy, and you can try again with another reader.
At the same time, if the psychic medium says that Frances is here, and your mother’s name is Francine, don’t say you have no idea what they are talking about. Or if the psychic medium says that your father is wearing a police uniform but your father wore a security uniform, remember that you don’t have to be a psychic medium to mix that one up—anyone could make that mistake. Keep in mind that the clarity of communication may be more like an AM radio station than a telephone. Small inaccuracies are expected. Don’t hold the psychic medium to exact measurements.
Maybe that's because I believe I've seen the real thing in a few people, one of whom I visit every few years. I won't go to her more than that because she gives so many specifics that it almost takes the fun out of life. She's told me I'm with one of my soulmates (which I found quite tolerable—this idea of several soulmates for each of us) and she's also said I'm an Indigo Crystal Child, which is her explanation for what makes me psychic.
Most of the callers were terribly lonesome. They didn't want to know their futures as much as they wanted hope. I started the job feeling like a therapist and ended it feeling more like a prostitute. Except instead of sex, there was crying. Instead of revelation, there was blabbering. I was a pay-per-minute substitute for what might actually fill their voids. There was no way I could give them what they needed. I encouraged some to seek therapy or go to church, but HR told me to stop pushing therapy on people who were seeking a psychic. Eventually, we had a mutual termination of my online psychic profile.
A kind gesture. An empathetic listener. A best friend. A gentle touch that says "don't worry, everything will be ok!” A hug that energizes you and fills your heart. A Warm embrace. Maybe it’s a purr from your kitty or a puppy kiss on the nose. Valentine’s Day means different things to different people. It symbolizes the most powerful energy in the universe and that is LOVE. Love is the bridge that connects us to our loved ones here on earth and in the spirit world. Love is what heals our hearts. My sister and brother in-law just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! They have been through the good and the bad together and are great role models for couples in love. They have worked at it! One question that many of my clients are interested in is their love life. Will I meet my soul mate? Because we create most of our destiny by the choices we make, I really believe that if we want to have a romance in our lives, we will have one. As I wrote in my book Love Karma, some people energetically block love from entering their lives. Sometimes past experiences that didn’t work out caused heartache, making them more cautious to open their hearts again. During our session we have energetically unblocked that so they are open to having a relationship again.  I always say “no guts, no glory!” With all the crazy energy going on in our world, the one and only thing we can count on is love. Start with self-love. I always say it’s the first true love. When you love yourself you are then capable to find a healthy romance and partner. In the last forty plus years I have predicted many love connections!

“Hi Denise I just wanted to send you a follow up email. After having had an opportunity to listen to our recorded session many times, I wanted to let you know that several items that you discussed with me have become clearer now. There were so many references that would have applied to several people in my family that I could not make the exact connection, but have since put the pieces together. Its interesting how some of the items that you conveyed to me didn't really register at the time of the reading, but are so very clear now....“

In 1991, Wendy Grossman in the New Scientist criticized the parapsychologist Stephen E. Braude for ignoring evidence of fraud in mediumship. According to Grossman "[Braude] accuses sceptics of ignoring the evidence he believes is solid, but himself ignores evidence that does not suit him. If a medium was caught cheating on some occasions, he says, the rest of that medium's phenomena were still genuine." Grossman came to the conclusion that Braude did not do proper research on the subject and should study "the art of conjuring."[180]
The physicist Kristian Birkeland exposed the fraud of the direct voice medium Etta Wriedt. Birkeland turned on the lights during a séance, snatched her trumpets and discovered that the "spirit" noises were caused by chemical explosions induced by potassium and water and in other cases by lycopodium powder.[160] The British medium Isa Northage claimed to materialize the spirit of a surgeon known as Dr. Reynolds. When photographs taken of Reynolds were analyzed by researchers they discovered that Northage looked like Reynolds with a glued stage beard.[161]

Some scientists of the period who investigated spiritualism also became converts. They included chemist Robert Hare, physicist William Crookes (1832–1919) and evolutionary biologist Alfred Russel Wallace (1823–1913).[13][14] Nobel laureate Pierre Curie took a very serious scientific interest in the work of medium Eusapia Palladino.[15] Other prominent adherents included journalist and pacifist William T. Stead (1849–1912)[16] and physician and author Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930).[17]
Rebecca Rosen has served as a bridge between this world and those who have crossed over to the other side for the past 10 years. Her work has led to many guest appearances, including Entertainment Tonight, The Rachael Ray Show and Nightline, and her first book, Spirited: Connect to the Guides All Around You (HarperCollins). Due to the high and growing demand for spiritual truth, she has committed herself fulltime to serving as a medium and also educates thousands of people around the country with her seminars, lectures and workshops. To get the most out of a reading with a psychic medium, be ready for the reading to take you beyond your question or out of your comfort zone. You can ask a psychic medium to communicate or receive important messages from a deceased loved one, or connect with other spirits. In general, asking broader questions that can not be answered with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ allows the reading to take a broader and more meaningful focus. Explore some powerful questions to ask a psychic.

Jump up ^ "Spiritism is not a religion but a science", as the famous French astronomer Camille Flammarion said in Allan Kardec's Eulogy on April 2, 1869, in Death and Its Mystery – After Death. Manifestations and Apparitions of the Dead; The Soul After Death Translated by Latrobe Carroll (London: Adelphi Terrace, 1923), archive version at Allan Kardec eulogy
One woman called wanting advice on which flowers would bolster her garden's psychic energy. I wound up Googling some pretty flowers and said, "Chrysanthemums look nice; they heighten your psychic abilities, and you want to plant them on the left side of the garden." I expounded on that for 45 minutes, and while proud may not be the right word for what I felt, it was definitely a significant achievement. At least the devil might be impressed, when I tell him in hell.
Attempts to communicate with the dead and other living human beings, aka spirits, have been documented back to early human history. The story of the Witch of Endor (In the most recent edition of the NIV witch is rendered medium in the passage) tells of one who raised the spirit of the deceased prophet Samuel to allow the Hebrew king Saul to question his former mentor about an upcoming battle, as related in the Books of Samuel in the Jewish Tanakh (the basis of the Old Testament).
The fifth, and final, thing you should know before going to a psychic medium demonstration or private reading is a piece of advice my friend John says best before every one of his demonstrations, “Don’t Feed The Medium!” If the psychic medium tells you that your Uncle Charlie is present. Don’t blurt out, “Oh, my goodness, my Uncle Charlie was a police officer who lost his leg in the war and died two years ago in a car accident!” Let the psychic medium tell you these things. If you offer that information yourself, then you miss out on the excitement and validation you could gain if the psychic medium was about to tell you those details.
One, some psychic mediums see spirits. Not every spirit chooses to show himself or herself to a psychic medium who has this ability, but many of them do. If the psychic medium can see spirits, part of the communication will be based on sight. A psychic medium may see something in their mind’s eye (as an inner vision), or they may see spirits the way they see other people (as a physical manifestation, except the spirits are more ethereal, ghostly).
I learned to read tarot using the Celtic spread, which offers interpretations on the recent past and near future. I flipped over the Disc and Cup cards, and told the woman over the phone that a Capricorn man was sucking her dry. This was the strongest detail I'd provided and it absolutely dazzled her. At that point she broke her character as interviewer and revealed that a Capricorn man had, indeed, drifted in and out of her life over the last 30 years. The next day, she approached my friend in HR and said, "You're so lucky to be friends with someone like Angela."

Psychic power is the ability to know something without any logical reason. This is what we call our 'sixth sense' or extra sensory perception; it is where energy is channelled through the third eye or brow chakra. We were all born with a heightened sense of intuition which acts as a precursor to or the beginning of developing our psychic abilities. Psychics can help individuals to find clarity in all kinds of situations.
