“Hi Denise... You met with my sister through Project Help Thursday and I just wanted you to know you may have saved her life. You communicated with her son who took his life last year. Today when she relayed particulars of your meeting I could sense her relief and felt for the first time since he died that she would actually get through this. I do not want to over dramatize but I was very concerned about her. Thank you so much for your help....“
Jump up ^ Joseph McCabe. (1920). Spiritualism: A Popular History from 1847. Dodd, Mead and Company. pp. 110–12. A Mr. Merrifield was present at one of the sittings. Home's usual phenomena were messages, the moving of objects (presumably at a distance), and the playing of an accordion which he held with one hand under the shadow of the table. But from an early date in America he had been accustomed occasionally to "materialise" hands (as it was afterwards called). The sitters would, in the darkness, faintly see a ghostly hand and arm, or they might feel the touch of an icy limb. Mr. Merrifield and the other sitters saw a "spirit-hand" stretch across the faintly lit space of the window. But Mr. Merrifield says that Home sat, or crouched, low in a low chair, and that the "spirit-hand" was a false limb on the end of Home's arm. At other times, he says, he saw that Home was using his foot."
It's those long calls where you make the most money. The first five minutes were free, but after that my customers paid $9.26 a minute, and I got a solid 40 percent of each call. Obviously you wanted to keep them on the line as long as possible, but if they broke an hour your cut bumped up to 55 percent. Meet those criteria, and you're making $280 per hour. The median wage for a nuclear engineer works out to about $50 per hour, and most of those poor suckers probably have to put on pants.
Success is relative: your idea of success may be different to another person's idea of success. A psychic can help you explore who you really are and what you are truly seeking in life. Achieving your dreams and ambitions makes for a successful life. A psychic reader will help you define your goals and to take realistic steps to achieve them. Today many successful people use psychics to help them make key decisions, as evidenced by this article on Forbes magazine's website. If it works for them, so why shouldn't it work for you?
“Hi Denise, I just wanted to thank you once again for the amazing reading you gave me this afternoon. I already knew you were the real deal, but the validation that comes from the reading is amazing. Connecting me with Jack and Earl was beyond what I expected. They meant a great deal to me, and were very instrumental in helping to shape me into the person I am today. I was pretty emotional from finding out that they had passed, but elated at the same time, knowing that they are watching over me, and helping to guide me through my mo...“

I distinctly remember the call that made me quit: a young guy was calling because his parents had just died in a car crash, and he was contemplating suicide. I just couldn't respond. I said something stupid along the lines of, "I see something good for you coming in the near future." Then when the call ended, I looked his number up online, called the local police department, and warned them. Work snapped at me for violating his confidentiality.
Weeklyuniverse.com reports that many nonpsychic persons are hired as telephone mediums to work with clients by phone rather than in person. You probably have seen the ads in newspapers or magazines, and sometimes on television or radio: “Call 1-800-PREDICT (or something along those lines) to find out what’s in store for you.” Housewives, unemployed actors, and college students who need a part-time income often fill these roles at a low hourly pay rate.
I had a four-hour call once. It was almost the entirety of my shift for the night, and I wound up being the one who cut it off. I made some sort of claim about needing to "recharge my powers," but I was really just completely emotionally drained. This elderly woman was going to die soon, and she wanted to check in on all her departed friends first to get a preview of what heaven would be like. She was basically asking me to act out a whole high school reunion full of people I didn't know. I actually thought it was sweet at the time. She said, "I know I'll be in heaven soon, and I want to touch base with all these people, and I need to be sure I'm going to see them there." Of course, I pretended we got in touch with everybody, because the first rule of psychically contacting somebody's dead loved ones is never pretend they're burning in hell. I know you have a great devil-voice impression; this is not the time to use it.
I would encourage anyone thinking of moving from giving psychic readings face to face to giving psychic readings over the phone to give themselves a bit of practice first. Enlist a few trusty friends to round up a few volunteers and arrange a time for you to give them a psychic reading over the telephone for free. Then ask for feedback on how they think you did.

Then I got a call from “Denise,” wanting to know if she is going to get enough money from the insurance company for being rear-ended because she needs the money desperately. I wanted to say, “In that case, hang up the phone!” as well as explain to her that I was an expert on love, not claims adjustment. I laid out the cards anyway. I realized I really didn’t want to give this woman advice, so I hemmed and hawed, and she let her time run out at five minutes.
In 2013 Rose Marks and members of her family were convicted of fraud for a series of crimes spanning 20 years entailing between $20 and $45 million. They told vulnerable clients that to solve their problems they had to give the purported psychics money and valuables. Marks and family promised to return the cash and goods after "cleansing" them. Prosecutors established they had no intent to return the property.
The Polish medium Stanisława Tomczyk's levitation of a glass beaker was exposed and replicated in 1910 by the magician William S. Marriott by means of a hidden thread. The Italian medium Lucia Sordi was exposed in 1911, she was bound to a chair by psychical researchers but would free herself during her séances. The tricks of another Italian medium Linda Gazzera were revealed in the same year, she would release her hands and feet from control in her séances and use them. Gazzera would not permit anyone to search her before a séance sitting, as she concealed muslin and other objects in her hair.
When searching for an online psychic, don’t let cost be the only deciding factor. Just like with any service, you get what you pay for. However, just because something is ridiculously expensive doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s high-quality, and this is especially true of psychic readings. Instead of cost, focus on factors like experience, training, and a strong spiritual connection.
From its earliest beginnings to contemporary times, mediumship practices have had many instances of fraud and trickery. Séances take place in darkness so the poor lighting conditions can become an easy opportunity for fraud. Physical mediumship that has been investigated by scientists has been discovered to be the result of deception and trickery. Ectoplasm, a supposed paranormal substance, was revealed to have been made from cheesecloth, butter, muslin, and cloth. Mediums would also stick cut-out faces from magazines and newspapers onto cloth or on other props and use plastic dolls in their séances to pretend to their audiences spirits were contacting them. Lewis Spence in his book An Encyclopaedia of Occultism (1960) wrote:
When she mentioned that there had been abuse, I decided I didn’t care if every love card in the deck turned up—the answer was going to be that the relationship was over. Fortunately, the reading was stink-o except for the last card, the ace of disks. That card meant the beginning of good fortune, usually related to finance or work. I told her that Tom was going to bring her nothing but misery, that she had to completely free herself from this relationship because there was a happier future for her if she did. After 10 minutes, we got the signal that her time was almost up, so Claudia re-upped for another 10. After I finished putting a stake into Tom, she asked about someone at work, “Phil,” who seemed smitten with her. That could explain the ace of disks, I realized! But I was worried that Claudia would hop into the sack with Phil if I told her things looked promising. I just said I couldn’t tell if Phil was the one, but that freeing herself from Tom would allow her to slowly find someone better.
One, some psychic mediums see spirits. Not every spirit chooses to show himself or herself to a psychic medium who has this ability, but many of them do. If the psychic medium can see spirits, part of the communication will be based on sight. A psychic medium may see something in their mind’s eye (as an inner vision), or they may see spirits the way they see other people (as a physical manifestation, except the spirits are more ethereal, ghostly).
In my second interview, I read for a man. I laid out his cards and interpreted a blond woman who was about to completely fuck him over. After years of reading strangers for quick cash, I knew better than to tell someone that a person he cared about was going to take advantage of him. So instead, I described a blond woman who was very strong and all business. He excitedly told me, "That's my partner!"
Our brains are wired to categorize people, places, and things, based on past experiences. When a psychic is face to face with you, their brain is naturally registering your body language and facial expression. If a psychic is not very good at separating the two, it can actually interfere somewhat with the accurate psychic information she is receiving. However, some people still prefer in-person readings. Some people are more comfortable seeing the psychic that is reading for them. I’m happy to serve you either way!
